This week Saturday 25th February Tony and Anita are teaching class on the embrace and the connection. We continue our themes of ‘connection, embrace and paying total attention to each other.’ We need to be sure of ourselves; where we are precisely in time, space, in the music, in relation to our partner, and everyone else.
This Saturday 25th February, the programme is as follows:
1 – 1.45pm, Class on Preparation on the connection and embrace.
In this class we will start with a variety of simple exercises to help us awaken our awareness of our centre, our axes, our balance, our momentum, and our ability to match our movements to the music. And basic exercises to prepare us for the embrace. If you have any questions about the embrace or want to delve deeper into technical details now is the time to explore and ask those questions!
1.45 – 2.30pm Class on the connection and embrace and choreography where it will be challenged / invited to change the embrace.’Varying your Connection and Embrace’ to find different movements.
This class will include choreography with the embrace and challenges for the connection. We will work on a sequence that can easily be varied at will to fit the music, and the reality of the moment.
2.30- 5pm Practica / Milonga with DJ Andy Warner
The classes will suit a wide range of abilities including beginners and experienced dancers. Please come on time to take full advantage of this opportunity. Doors open at 12.45pm
About Tango E14
At Tango E14 we teach and encourage the skills and art of socially dancing Argentine Tango. Good tango requires full attention to each other and clarity of intention and action. Good social tango also needs kindness, consideration, patience and goodwill. And of course, to develop your Argentine Tango skills you need to actually do it, and do it as often as you can.
We invite you to come, explore and discover Tango with us. Then start to find your own Tango!
We are a friendly and relaxed group. We even have free tea and nibbles, so you can also watch, chat, and ask questions.
