Creating an event post

Start with a photo if you have one, and give it a caption

I think posts about your upcoming events will be the bulk of your copy. To this ends, I’ve come up with a format which I think will best suit your content. I have created a number of custom blocks to make the process quicker and easier.

Create a new post from your WordPress dashboard and then follow these steps.

When you add one of these custom blocks to your post, it will need 'unlocking' to edit it. 5: You'll be asked to either 'edit the reusable block' or 'convert to regular blocks'. When you add a reusable block to your post, you need to click on the ‘convert to regular block’ option before you can edit it. Do not select the ‘edit reusable block’ as this will put all your edits into the block in the library as well as your post and because the reusable block serves as a templet, your edits may be passed into all of your posts that use this block. Always opt for ‘convert to regular blocks’.

Once you have converted the reusable block to regular blocks, you can then edit the content. 6: Swap in your photos and edit the text.

You’ll see that the reusable block I have created ‘complete event post’ is a template for the post design I have used for the demo post I have created here for Los Ocampo. The layout can be altered and the reusable blocks edited and added to as required. Note I have created separate reusable blocks as separate pieces that you might want like the video and caption one.
