Tango E14 is restarting their normal afternoon with class at 1pm to 2.30pm and milonga after with Tony and Anita teaching on Tango Basics. We introduced these last Saturday on our free event in Crossrail Performance Space in the rooftop gardens. Thank you for all those that came and supported us. It was successful albeit a bit chilly!
The tango basics that we started last Saturday will be continued in more detail on a standalone basis no need to have attended last Saturday. The topics are embrace, dancing together/ connection, walking to the beat, and lastly the big difference between Argentine Tango and ballroom tango namely improvisation.
BE ALERT for those on the DLR it is not running between Bank and Lewisham this Saturday. Please use Jubilee Line and get off at Canary Wharf walk from Canary Wharf it should be around 10-15 min. There are also engineering works on other lines of DLR and on several tube lines please check your journey before setting off!
Class on the Tango Basics
Due to our August break we are introducing Tango Basics to ease ourselves back into tango. And don’t worry as usual we will have something new and challenging for all levels. The class is an open level class and as Anita will be there at 1pm from now onwards. We will start at 1pm promptly with warm up technique exercises and if necessary split the class into two levels; complete beginners and beginners in one group and in the other group improvers and more advanced dancers. The beginners will work on connection, embrace and walking to the beat as well as a simple figure and the more advanced dancers will be working on improvisation with the cross. How many different ways can you do the cross think outside of the box; left and right side, front and back, repeatedly…. the options are endless…
Private classes
Please contact us for private classes in person on our email address: dance@tangoe14.co.uk. Normally, private classes tend to be before our afternoon in the hall from 12pm till 1pm. Anita is available most Saturdays before the class to give you a technical make over or if you are a beginner to teach you the tango basics with more privacy. These classes depend on venue and teachers availability. Class with Tony and Anita together available. If venue is available also after the afternoon 5-6pm may be possible if booked in advance. Private classes are for individuals, couples, friends and or small groups to get the maximum correction and learning.
