Saturday 14th June We are back to normal! Tony and Anita teaching a class on floor craft on request of several dancers last week where we had successful event with El Caminito Community Orchestra and 4 guest musicians.
Now we are back to the normal milonga and class with a class on floor craft to develop your spatial awareness of your own and partners space as well as becoming aware of where the other couple in the room are and learn how to apply which move where or able to adapt size and or direction.
Class on floor craft
Floor craft is a separate essential skill of tango dancing. It is a combination of spatial awareness, improvisation and knowing when to apply which step or movement for which space. It is making the most of opportunities that present to you. Either in small spaces where you only are able to dance in your own couples (personal) space underneath you or when a space opens up and you can take that chance to travel and do bigger movements. Also how to keep the connection with your partner and enjoying the music whilst keeping yourselves safe. It is also being aware of where other people are and how fast or slow they are going to move over. Sometimes you have to adapt movements e.g. voleos/ boleos.
Private tuition available
There are slots of an hour before or after this Saturday event for private tuition suitable for couples. If you are interested in booking a private class please ring Tony Lane on 02075383852.
