Saturday 15 March Keep fit for tango exercises with Anita and Tony’s choreography incl cadena, giro and voleo! Suitable for everyone if you want to become tango fit or stay tango fit or if you like to be challenged with set choreography!
This Saturday is great way to see if you are as ‘fit’ to dance Tango as we could be ? With Anita leading exercises to test your, strength, stability, balance and flexibility and tips on how to maintain and or improve them. This is in the first half of the lesson (45min).
Followed by Tony leading a sequence or choreography that is a compilation of material we have recently covered. This is to see how good your movement memory is and show you what a possibility is of how to dance or put movements together and challenge you to put them together differently.
Class on Tango fitness and Tony’s sequence
Can we remember the material we have recently covered, and can we put it together in a choreographed sequence ?
This Saturday 15 March it is a usual afternoon with Tony and Anita teaching, followed by a milonga. Anita will lead the first half of the class (45 min) with great exercises to help us develop our fitness to dance Tango.
Then (last 45min) Tony will go through a compilation, or choreography of some of the key moves we have looked at in recent months. This will include a Cadena move, leading into a Giro, finishing with a Voleo/ Boleo. And of course, most importantly, we are dancing to the music.
If you are a beginner and you have no clue what the moves and words included in the choreography mean, don’t worry please come along to benefit from the first half of the class and learn how the other moves look like and attempt one of them. We strongly recommend you do not try all three, if these are all new tango movements to you as you risk being overwhelmed. Less is more!
Private tuition available
There are slots of an hour before or after this Saturday event for private tuition suitable for couples. If you are interested in booking a private class please ring Tony Lane on 02075383852.
