After a lovely start last week with great exercises on reflecting and grounding this Saturday the 17th we will continue the topic on grounding and teach the calesita or carusel in the class!
It was great to see everyone back again last week and all dancers had a good catch up, now we are ready to work on our technique again as well as connecting with our partner in a playful and meaningful way.
Class on the calecita
For beginners as well improvers this week Stuart and Anita are teaching calesitas or carrusel, a merry-go-round step where the leaders keeps the follower in place and walks around them. Also the other way round is possible where the leaders stay on the spot and follower walk around them. For improvers we will include the change of roles in one continuous figures and for both a change of direction as well as simple decorations for the follower and for more advanced Adornos e.g. rulos, beats, change of level for the improvers. We will start the class with balancing exercises and walking with crosses, rulos, punteos, perfecting our grounding and collecting which improves our walking.
Join us this Saturday to become a better and more confident tango dancer!
