With the arrival of the lovely weather, the arrival of your tango improvement has arrived! Just come down to Crossharbour on the DLR on Saturday and you will be improving your tango in no time!
Last week’s collaboration with Queer Tango London was very successful. Dancers from both organisations enjoyed both the classes ‘Intercambio (role reversal) for Everyone’ by Ray and Gawaine and ‘Improvisation for Tango’ by Anita. And the milonga was a lovely open and friendly atmosphere. So watch this space there will be more similar collaborations coming soon!
Class on salida del Cuarenta plus americana
This Saturday the 25th Anita is going to teach Salida del Cuarenta (meaning starting move from the 40s) followed by Americana and forwards ocho. These moves are handy for the on the dance floor during a busy milonga and can be danced to express different dynamics; either be flowy and fluently or more staccato and percussive. These moves also challenge your embrace and invite you to be flexible with your embrace from close to open to closed. However the main aim is to spiral elegantly around each other!
Private classes available
There are slots available for private classes occasionally before the group class or after the milonga. These classes are suitable for individuals as well as couples. Please email dance@tangoe14.co.uk if you are interested or book straight away via the website: https://tangoe14.co.uk/private-classes/
