For the first time evert this Saturday 27 September Anita and Stuart will be teaching at Tango E14! Don’t miss out on this iconic moment of the changing of the guards, so to speak.
As usual Andy Warner will be DJing after and Stuart will bring up more lights so we have more atmospherical lighting present as well!
Please check the calendar as next week 4th October we have Special Guest Teachers Olivia Teixeira and Fernando Lima teaching on dynamics and on Tuesday 7 Oct we have a FREE event at The Space, 269 Westferry Rd, London E14 3RS, class followed by practica. Lastly, on Saturday 11th October we have Martin Espindola with his dance partner Carolina Burkhard from Tango TERRA visiting us. And there is a rumour that there might be live music however that has not been confirme yet. So watch this space!!
Class on the salida with ochos
The class will be in 2 parts. The first part is solid tango foundations and basics for 45 min this might be including, grounding exercises, a little bit of walking, crossing, pivoting and turning as well differences for these movements between followers and leaders. Followed for 45 min by the sequence that Stuart and Anita will teach you, the basic salida with the cross followed by forward ochos, a backward ocho and variations on how to finish. This week we will go in more detail in how to lead an ocho. And what the difference is between forwards and backwards ochos to lead and to follow. Followed by how you can resolve this figure.
