Saturday 28 March another glorious spring day! Tango E14 will be running a usual afternoon with class on walking turns and a milonga after.
NEW lighting will be all up so very exciting! And as usual beautiful tunes by our resident DJ Andy Warner. Don’t miss out and visit Tango E14’s long running and laidback milonga for meaningful connections and opportunities for creative dance expression!
Class on walking turns
According to Christine Denniston in her highly renowned book The Meaning of Tango, it is The Turning Walk and the True Basic of Golden Age Tango. Where the leader aims to keep the hearts together of them and the follower. We will practice the disassociation needed to perform this pattern technical correctly and demonstrate the winding up of the body and the release during the spiralling action necessary to perform the turn. The challenge for more advanced dancers is to execute a sacada whilst the beginners keep it without.
Private classes available
There are slots available for private classes occasionally before the group class or after the milonga. These classes are suitable for individuals as well as couples. Please email dance@tangoe14.co.uk if you are interested or book straight away via the website: https://tangoe14.co.uk/private-classes/
