This Saturday 3rd February 2024 Tony and Anita will work on the importance of ‘Axis’ (plural Axes) and balance. Finding, understanding and controlling our own axis, and the axis of our partner is very important in partner dancing, and especially in Argentine tango.
We will work on exercises to help us to find our axes, to understand them, and to be in control of them. Can we move or change our axis? This will help a lot with leading and following all our basic movements. It is also essential when we start to look at more sophisticated ‘out of axis’ moves; subtle moves like Volcadas and Colgadas.
So this class is aimed at all levels. Beginners will find some of it challenging, but still worth trying. More experienced dancers should find it useful.
Private tuition available
There are slots of an hour before or after this Saturday event for private tuition suitable for couples. If you are interested in booking a private class please ring Tony Lane on 02075383852.
