This week Saturday 4th of November we look forward to focus on walking turns and turning on the ball of your feet. Last week we were delighted to have an excellent turnout, including several people we had not seen for a while. Maybe the change of seasons. Maybe the realisation and remembering that Tango E14 is very good value. That it is a friendly relaxed group, but at the same time a very useful place and group to share, develop and explore social Argentine tango – ‘Con mucho gusto’ – with great pleasure.
Class on essential tango understanding
Last week we had a detailed ‘plan’ for the afternoon to look closely at the details of ‘Giros’ in tango. However, in the event, we had quite a few people we had not seen for a while, combined with some new students. So, because we try to adapt to the needs and understanding of those present, we concentrated on basic connection, musicality, and doing simple things together, which worked well.
Of course we will get to ‘Giros’, but can we lead and follow the sort of ochos we want? Are we dancing together, to the music, and respecting those around us? This week we will focus on different kinds of walking turns and basic technique of pivoting or turning on the ball of your foot. Please come early to get the full benefit of this class. This class is aimed at all levels, beginners and experienced dancers. So do come and join in. There will be something for everyone in this class.
Private tuition available
There are slots of an hour before or after this Saturday event for private tuition suitable for couples. If you are interested in booking a private class please ring Tony Lane on 02075383852.
