This Saturday the 4th of July Anita and Kiran will be teaching on walking turn and different dynamics and improvisation. Allowing for self expression and delving deeper into musicality and the meaning for the music.
Come and dance playfully this Saturday afternoon in a welcoming, relaxed and nurturing tango community. Great tunes by DJ Anita and lovely lighting!
Class on walking turn and dynamics
The class will be on walking turn, the basic figure of the 40s or comparable to the basic salida or 8-box of nowadays. The walking turn is paramount for a good connection and good timing. It is possible to dance this as a whole sequence or stop at any moment so practice timing and improvisation. For the more advanced they will be challenged by walking or dancing the figure with different dynamics. Meaning dancing it with different moods or feelings to express different dynamics either inspired by the music of inner emotions or energies to and fros between you and your fellow dancer. We will explore how the changes might implicate the timing and explore and play with these steps.
Private classes available
There are slots available for private classes occasionally before the group class or after the milonga. These classes are suitable for individuals as well as couples.
