Saturday 7 February Tango E14 is proud to present special guest teachers María Celeste Cimino and Luciano Millaqueo from Buenos Aires with a special class on tango dynamics and salida variations.
María Celeste Cimino and Luciano Millaqueo have been twice before at Tango E14 in April 2024 and 2025 teaching a great class on salidas con Corte and milonga traspie. This time they are back on many requests from dancers with a special class on Musical Tango Dynamics and Salidas in reduced space. We can not wait to see them and enjoy their world renown dancing. Celeste and Luciano are known for Golden Era 1940s milonguero style. Please find a video below with their tango dancing to Viviani by Carlos Di Sarli.
Class on Musical Dynamics and Salidas in Reduced Space
This Saturday Celeste and Luciano will teach a tango workshop on Musical Dynamics, and Salidas in Reduced Space. We explore tango through the lens of the great milongueros, and in particular, to honour the wise teachings of our dear Horacio Préstamo. His approach to tango was never about complexity for its own sake—it was about clarity, intention, musicality, and the deep cultural responsibility of keeping our tradition alive. on Saturday, we’ll work with figures and concepts that are essential for dancing comfortably in reduced space, just as the old milongueros did in the crowded floors of Buenos Aires.
We’ll explore milonguero-style salidas, compact pathways that allow you to move with elegance and respect for the ronda. These are not just steps—they are part of the “floorcraft language” that experienced dancers use to communicate, navigate, and create harmony on the dance floor. We’ll also dive into changing dynamics through musicality, understanding how subtle shifts in energy, intention, and timing can transform even the simplest movement. This is one of the most beautiful lessons passed down by the last generation of milongueros: that musicality is not decoration, but the soul of the dance.
