This Saturday 8th July at ‘Tango E14’ Tony and Anita continue the theme of fun and playfulness in Tango.
Two weeks ago ‘Los Ocampo’ worked on ‘Rebotes/Rebounds’ and introduced a free ‘walking’ turn. Last week we developed that a bit more, considering differences of playfulness between Carlos Di Sarli’s ‘Salon’ style tango, and Juan D’Arienzo’s ‘Milonguero’ style. We will start with some important exercises to improve ones tango and general dance abilities, especially dissociation.
We also need to be able to navigate and move enjoyably, comfortably, and safely among all the other couples, and within the ‘environment’ created by the music. So we are constantly changing where we going, changing direction, speed, rhythm, size and intensity of our movement and so on. Therefore we need a variety of options, moves and ideas that we can do at any moment. So we need really good connection with, and attention to our partner to do that instantly and continuously.
Next week: special event
