For the first time Tango E14 is visiting The Space, this iconic theatre and performing space will be tangofied for this one off special evening! With Tony and Anita teaching an introductory class and atmospheric lighting as well as your usual DJ Andy Warner during the practica!
If you are keen to do more introduction to tango dance classes please come and join Tony and Anita at The Space, it’s a great iconic building, a transformed church into an atmospheric, cosy tango venue!
Booking is recommended in advance as it is a small space however booking at the door in person is possible. Please see below for the details, a voluntary donation is much appreciated however not necessary to take part. And for those used to Tango E14 milongas there will be coffee and tea and other drinks available for purchase in the bar upstairs towards the back of the building !
Class – Introduction to Tango Dance –
The Introduction to Tango Dance class will cover the basics such as the tango walk, the connection, musicality, creativity and playfulness as well as the basic salida or basic box. We will also introduce you to dancing the tango walk together and how to lead and follow! Technique as well as fun creative improvisation exercises will be happening! Don’t miss this opportunity for a one off special atmospheric event in a theatre!

Getting here
Take the Dockland’s Light Rail (DLR) to Island Gardens station if you are coming from the South or if you are coming from the North of the Isle of Dogs go to Canary Wharf station. Coming from the North you can also take the Jubilee Line Underground train or Elizabeth Line to Canary Wharf station. Then for both directions continue your journey by bus.
From Island Gardens station: Get on Island Gardens bus stop D and take bus no D7/ 135 get off at St Edmonds School stop N. Cross the road and keep walking in the direction the bus was going and you will see The Space on your right hand side.
From Canary Wharf station: Get on at Canary Wharf Station Stop F take bus no D7, 135 or 277 and get off at stop Crews Street/ The Space. The bus stop is right next to The Space on the left side.
