Special guest teacher, Gaston Olguin this Saturday 14th September 2024. Tony saw Gaston last Friday at Queer Tango give this class to a mixed group of students: ‘How our dancing bodies work’ Tony was so impressed he insisted that Gaston come to Tango E14. So, on such short notice we are very lucky to have him and his partner. In collaboration with Queer Tango London with special thanks to Margaret Trotter to make this happen so quickly!
Gaston’s clarity and precision in explaining and demonstrating to a mixed class of new dancers and dancers of many years experience is outstanding. So make a special point of coming to this class, and of course come on time ready to start at 1pm. Come to the class. Pay full attention to Gaston – Listen and do it. This could be one of the best tango learning experiences you will ever have.

Class on How our dancing bodies work (Biomechanics)
Saturday’s class with Gaston is an open level class. But don’t let that fool you. When you chop down a tree all you have to do is ‘whack’ at it with an axe, right? No! Wrong! There are many components to this task, including sharpening your axe, and how you swing it, amongst other details. So if you want to ‘sharpen up your tango’, or just want to start off in the best way, then take this opportunity with Gaston to make your tango more precise, and more ‘tango’. In Gaston’s own words topics for Saturday: Warm-up / Getting a tango posture, starting for own body connection. Dancing the transitions of the walk, connection and embrace!
