This Saturday 6th July 2024,1pm at Tango E14, our popular guest teacher, Hernan Brusa will guide us on more aspects of dancing Milonga, especially working on connection and rhythm.
This class may present some challenges for new dancers, however as Milonga is part of the family of Tango dances (Vals, Milonga and Tango), and you have to start somewhere to appreciate the differences, so why not today! In some ways Milonga is simpler than basic Tango, and very enjoyable due to its playful nature. Please find a video of Hernan Brusa dancing milonga with Paula Duarte at Reading Tango Club in 2019. And below that another video of Hernan with his beautiful wife Maria Brusa to Black and White from Michael Jackson.
Class on rhythm and connection in milonga
Hernan Brusa will guide us on more aspects of dancing Milonga, especially working on connection and rhythm. Milonga can be daunting when not familiar to you. However, Hernan is great at breaking it down and introducing you gently and compassionately to all things milonga and tango. As milonga is an important part of the tango family and history, it is otherwise a big part of tango and milongas you would be missing out on if you can not dance the tandas with this very upbeat and fun music and dance!
Milonga is part of the trilogy of the tango family (Vals, Milonga and Tango), and you have to start somewhere to appreciate the differences, so why not today! In some ways Milonga is simpler than basic Tango, the technique and figures are more simple, it is the rhythms that can be more complicated if you choose to dance them.
