Saturday 10th October a lovely afternoon suitable for beginners as well as more experienced dancers this week Anita and Kiran will be teaching on Salidas. So, Kiran will be back! Plus, this week we have a guest DJ!
This week on 10th December guest TDJ Eleanor Durant is DJing! She says about herself: She plays traditional tango music, nearly always from the golden age of tango. She has been dancing tango since 2007, and dances both roles socially. She says, “I do my best to shape the tandas and the milonga so that all the guests can dance with confidence, rest with a smile, and go away happy.”

Class on salidas and variations
Good for all dancers to learn to lead and follow the basic Salida or point of departure. This is the basic or building block that most tango schools and teachers will teach at some point to beginners. Not for its exact steps, it is for the principles that are build in within the 8 count phrase. We will go over crossed and not crossed variation and double crossed and turning as well as the following variations: Salida con traspié. La Americana, Salida con dos pasos. We will open the floor as well to your own variations and playful discoveries/ explorations at the end of the class. For advanced dancers we are teaching the walking turn as well as recap the sanguichito con gancho (sandwich with a hook) from last week.
Private classes available
There are slots available for private classes occasionally before the group class or after the milonga. These classes are suitable for individuals as well as couples.
