Saturday 17th May Tango E14 is in another venue: Island House Community Centre, Roserton Street E14 3PG due to and Island History Trust Open Day in our usual hall.
This Saturday we will be again in the Island House Community Centre in their main hall. With the usual good tunes from TDJ Anita, lighting and a class beforehand with Anita and Kiran. If you don’t know where to go please see the map below for directions. It is an 6 min walk from Crossharbour DLR station
Class on baldosa or 6-box
Last week dancers really enjoyed learning the modern day basic or 8box or salida. Plus several variations such as the cross and with a turn and double time steps. This week it is time for the baldosa or floor tile in Spanish Suitable to be danced to tango rhythm as well as danced as a typical vals step. For the beginners just the straight step without turning and for the more adventurous amongst you learning the turning version as well!
The first 45min we will do tango basics and technical exercises and shortly recap walking technique for beginners and the salida followed in the last 45min with the differences between the 2 boxes or salida versus the Baldosa for more advanced level of dancers.
