This Saturday 24th of October Tango E14 presents a special event with returning and loved guest teacher Margaret Trotter and TDJ Tim Baggaley.
Margaret we know and love from previous guest classes and QTL and Tim is new on the London scene however he has DJed last months at Hyde Park bandstand Monday night milongas. Don’t miss this opportunity! This event has the usual inclusive and welcoming friendly vibes as well as the usual lights and decorations.
Class on disassociation
This week we are honoured to have Margaret Trotter guest teaching she is famous for her inquisitive nature and workshopping through tango principles and complexities. Margaret is great at making tango accessible and divide complex movement into smaller chunks. Which is great for those learning how to dance! She is also a great leader and very clear on how to lead!
Margaret is teaching a class on how to follow and lead disassociation. Also she teaches how to lead walking on the outside, in front and go to the other side using extreme disassociation in parallel and cross system. Also she will show you how to be clear in leading and following the difference between change of weight and the side step as well as side side step with and without transfer of weight and with and without added change of direction and or saccade for advanced dancers. This class is really beneficial if you wish to improve and clarify your leading and following! Suitable for all levels.
About TDJ Tim Baggaley
Tim is delighted to be DJing for Tango E14 this Saturday. He plays a mixture of traditional favourites, modern takes on classic compositions, and contemporary orchestras with all new music. He also likes to find rare recordings of tango music from all around the world. His set will include tangos you know and love, but also some surprises you’ve never heard before. Do you have any requests? If there’s a tango tune you’ve always wanted to dance to but has never been played in any milonga you’ve attended, drop a request to Tango E14 here at dance@tangoe14.co.uk and he’ll see if he can fit it into in a tanda in the playlist.
Private classes available
There are slots available for private classes occasionally before the group class or after the milonga. These classes are suitable for individuals as well as couples.
